This series provides speakers with an opportunity to present topics reflecting innovation in science, engineering, and business to a sparkly audience of fellow innovators to open discussions on technology and collaboration. Talks are approximately one hour in length including a Q&A session. The VRP Seminar Series is recorded and archived for the speakers’ reference, and for public access to a wider audience who may miss an in-person presentation.
-
We encourage suggestions for speakers and topics, however, the VRP Seminar Series is curated. Our speakers are by arrangement.
-
Once a speaker is selected, the VRP Seminar Series coordinator will work with each speaker to pick a speaking date from our available pre-published future dates. We tend to be inflexible about dates, for both speaker and audience convenience.
-
In preparation for your talk, we’ll need some information from you in order to send out invitations. We’ll need your name, title of your role, short biography, title and a brief summary of your seminar.
If you have slides accompanying your talk, you’ll need to provide your slides to the coordinating team at least 3 days in advance.
-
Yes! If speakers would like to add invited guests to the VRP Seminar Series, please provide name and email contact information for those guests 2 weeks ahead of the scheduled date so they can receive an invitation from our team. BTW - attendees get free food!
-
Please arrive to the site of the presentation at Valley Research Park 30 minutes early (2:30pm) for your presentation at 3:00pm. We will need to test the audio/video equipment prior to your presentation.
If your slides have been adjusted at the last minute, please plan to arrive even earlier to allow for the slides to get re-loaded.
-
Yes! All sessions will be recorded. After recording, speakers will have an opportunity to review the recording before it is published in our VRP Seminar Series Archive.
